Bashing Christianity

Apparently I'm not very good at this whole blog thing. It's been a while since I've added anything and I've discovered it take something that really makes me angry to motivate me to post. Liberal politicians piss me off every day, but what I read today really got my goat, so here goes: (Next up, Spanish Voicemail)

Many moons ago, the Fathers (and Mothers) of this country braved wind and wave (and later, bullet and bayonet) to flee a tyrannical government and establish their own government in a new land. Among other things, they were seeking the freedom to worship God in the manner they believed to be right. The oppression they fled did not allow them to do so. The religion they wanted to express and practice freely was Christianity. The new government they eventually established was built on the principles that governed their own personal lives, the very principles of the religion they could now practice without fear of prosecution.
Even while this new nation and government were being formed, our founders recognized the danger of becoming that which they had so recently fled. The documents they used to establish their new government stated explicitly that the government could not establish an official religion, each man would be given the freedom to worship as he believed to be right. Codified at the same time was the guarantee that no man would be persecuted for the manner in which he chose to worship. The very Christian principles this fledgling government was founded on caused its authors to put into writing the freedom for its citizens to freely practice other than their Christian faith.
Today, after generations of moral decay, there are those among us who have taken the original intent of the “separation of church and state” and twisted it into the attempted suppression of anything Christian. This is especially evident at Christmastime. Today’s society has completed the circle of tolerance and come all the way back around to intolerance.
In their soft and gutless attempts at political correctness and efforts to not offend even the smallest minority, too many Americans today are now actively suppressing and persecuting any who would chose to practice religion and worship in the same manner as our founding Fathers. Elected officials, civic leaders, lawyers, political activists: under the guise of political correctness and acceptance of all, many are working very hard to erase any vestige our Christian heritage. There are those amongst our leaders who believe the religion of our enemies warrants special recognition via legislation, while the religion of our founding Fathers does not. (You can read about that here:
Dems: Amen to Ramadan, but forget about Christmas) (Follow these links if you’re interested in seeing who voted for what: Ramadan Resolution Christmas and the Christian faith)
Too afraid, they are, to offend any group or individual, they willingly offend the religious majority of our country.
When is it going to be politically incorrect to offend Christians?
